2017 iPhone and what to expect from it

2017 iPhone and what to expect from it

It’s been a while since Apple launched the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to the public. This year, nothing has changed as there were thousands of people standing in line in front of App Store and trying to buy the pair.

This year, Apple failed to deliver an overhauled design for its iPhone models, however the new iPhones came with some enticing features. Whether it is water resistance, dual-camera system or force-sensitive home button, you really don’t want to miss at all.

Although many of us did not get a chance to lay our hands on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the next iPhone rumors have started to heat up with details about display, design, processor and new features.

In this article, we will show you what we are expecting from next year’s iPhone

  1. Design

2017 is going to be a big year for Apple, as the company celebrates the iPhone’s 10th year anniversary. We are pretty sure that Apple is planning something special for the occasion. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, best known for giving accurate forecasts when it comes to Apple products, the next year’s iPhone will mark the return of the glass-backed body design that was once a fan-favorite. This means that the current aluminum body found on the current iPhone models will be removed. These rumors seem plausible, as Apple previously launched the Jet Black models. Besides, Kuo said that Apple would launch three iPhone models in 2017 with different screen sizes. One of them is a 5.8 inch iPhone with new curved OLED display and glass casing.

  1. Display

While most of Android’s high-end smartphones come with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution displays, Apple still stick with the 1,334 x 750 pixel specs that seem to be out of date.  The iPhone 8 will mark the first time Apple switches over to OLED displays. These OLED panels offer more advantages over the traditional LCD ones, as they are brighter, lighter and more flexible. Besides, the introduction of an OLED panel allows Apple to reduce the thickness and weight of the new iPhone, making it even thinner than the current models.

  1. Processing power

With the A10 Fusion chip, the iPhone 7 and iPhone7 Plus offer a stellar performance ranging from playing games to shooting 4K videos. The next iPhone is expected to come with the A11 chip built on a 10-nanometer process under the hood. The new chip promises to be faster and more energy efficient than the previous one.

  1. Dual-cameras for both models

This year, the iPhone 7 Plus sports a dual-camera system, enabling 2x optical zoom and offering beautiful photos even in low-light conditions. However, the bad thing is that a dual-camera system is only available for the larger-screened iPhone 7 Plus. In 2017, we would like to see the dual-camera upgrade for both 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch models.

  1. Wireless Charging

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were previously expected to come with wireless charging feature, however the feature was nowhere to be found at launch. In reality, wireless charging has actually been around for a while and seen on Samsung’s recent Galaxy phones.

Apple is believed to be working on wireless charging technology which could be used for 2017 iPhone. Besides, the removal of the 3.5 mm headphone jack on this year’s iPhone could be a perfect step for wireless charging on 2017 iPhone.

That’s it! We are now still nearly 12 months from the next iPhone unveiling. Let’s see what Apple is going to do to celebrate its special occasion.
