Google Chrome is the top web browser out there. Google has been working hard to improve its own web browsing platform for years in an attempt to make your experience much better. The California company regularly rolls out new features and changes every year, but there are a lot of things hiding in Chrome.
To help you get the most out of Google Chrome, we have compiled a list of Chrome tips and tricks for Android. Before we begin, make sure you now have a modern version of Android OS on your device.
Google Chrome comes with a number of handy little things that make what you do most on your Android device much better. One such thing lies in the ability to move the address bar to the bottom of the screen. If you need help, follow our steps below.
Step one: First off, open Google Chrome and then copy and paste chrome://flags/#enable-chrome-home into the address bar
Step two: Once you are in, hit the Google Home option and then hit Enable
Step three: Make sure you turn on flags/#enable-chrome-home-modern-layout and restart your Google Chrome to apply the change.
Google Chrome now allows you to quickly switch between open tabs. All it takes is a simple swipe. If you swipe across the address bar in Chrome, you will instantly enter a different tab. This comes in handy, as eliminates the need to hit the little square button to access multi-tab mode. If you swipe down on the address bar, you will see a list of all your open tabs.
If you frequently use the address bar to navigate to Google, you will be happy to know that you now can get your answers to your questions, without having to hit the Enter button. All you need to do is to type in your questions and the answer will automatically show up.
If you frequently use Chrome on your computer, you may be aware of the home button located at the top left corner of the screen. This button helps you quickly go back to your homepage. There is no similar button on Android, but if you own a rooted device, you can get that feature. To do this, you first need to download the ChromeCustomizations APK file and then copy to /system/app/ChromeCustomizations.
If you now own a modern version of Chrome, you can download a webpage even you are offline. This is a great feature for those who have a poor internet connection. All you need to do is to hit the “Download Page Later” button at the bottom of the screen. Once you do that, Chrome will automatically download your webpage when you have an internet connection.
