EE recalls Power Bars due to battery overheat problem

EE is currently trying to contact all of its customers in order to inform them about the recall regarding its very popular Power Bar.

This morning I received a text message from EE stating that there is an ”Important safety issue” with their EE Power Bars. On the message EE wanted me to visit their website where i found more information regarding this issue. The company stated that they have ”Identified a very small number of incidents where Power Bars have overheated” and this issue is only related to batch E1-06 of power banks. EE also sated that there is a possibility of fire thus customer should ”return the Power Bar to a local EE store at their earliest convenience”.

The recalls takes place just over a week after a medical student was left with nasty burns after one of the Power Bars exploded while charging. We believe that the recall can’t be a coincidence..!
