Futuristic goggles making air sickness a thing of the past

I love this kind of thing! Travel sickness on planes could soon be a distant memory thanks to a swanky, futuristic pair of goggles.

The idea is to essentially give the passenger a sense of balance, regardless of the fact that they are in a few tons of metal, hurtling through the air!

The goggles, pricing up at £300, are set to be unveiled at a technology convention in the US.

They work by tricking the users brain. They will see a virtual horizon and if the plane moves to one side then the view will too.

Roughly 1-2% of airline passengers suffer with travel sickness in the air but in business terms that could be a lot of money. I hear users can also view their destination through the goggles in order to acclimatise.

Perhaps one day this cool gadget could be part of every airline seat!
