Here are four hidden features in Windows 10 Creators Update

The Windows 10 Creators Update have finally landed in our shores. Unlike the Anniversary Update, which included significant updates, the Creators Update adds some small and welcome additions to the operating system including Game mode, picture-in-picture, night light and more.

While the above-mentioned features are obvious to many users, there are some exciting hidden features in the Windows 10 Creators Update. With that in mind, we have compiled a list of awesome hidden Windows 10 Creators Update features you may not know about.

  1. 1. Touchpad Settings

Windows 10 has long been criticized for the lack of touchpad customization options. Microsoft is fully aware of that and they has officially added a variety of touchpad settings to the Creators Update. From the Settings screen, select Devices and click on Touchpad. Here, you can customize the touch-pad gestures to your liking, making your daily tasks much easier and quicker.

  1. Ebooks

If you are a big fan of iBooks, which comes bundled with on iOS devices, you will be happy to know that the Windows Store now offers a section dedicated to ebooks. To access ebooks on Windows 10, open the Windows Store and select Books tab at the top. The Windows Store provides tons of books in all categories including top sellers, new releases, and classics.

You can download a book directly from the Windows Store and then use it in Microsoft Edge. To see your downloaded books, you simply need to open Microsoft Edge on your computer, hit the Hub icon on the right-side of the address bar and click ebook icon. Here, you will see a list of all your downloaded books.

  1. Storage Sense

The Windows 10 Creators Update introduces Storage Sense, a great feature that automatically gets rid of files that have been moved to your recycle bin for more than 30 days to free up storage space. However, Storage Sense is disable by default, meaning that you need to manually activate it. Here is how you can enable it.

Step one: First off, click the Start menu and then select Settings

Step two: Next up, click on System and then hit Storage

Step three: Once you are in, turn on the Storage sense toggle switch.

  1. Dynamic lock

Starting with the Creators Update, Windows 10 introduces Dynamic Lock, which automatically locks your computer when you are away. You may be wondering how it works. Basically, Dynamic Lock uses a Bluetooth connection between your phone and your PC to lock your PC when you walk out of Bluetooth range.

To set up Dynamic Lock, you first need to pair your phone with your computer. Here is how.

Step one: First off, click Start and then select Settings

Step two: Next up, click on Devices. After that, select Bluetooth & other devices and turn on Bluetooth

Step three: You now need to select Add Bluetooth or other device and then hit Bluetooth. After that, select the device you wish to pair with.

Once you are done, you now can enable Dynamic Lock on your computer. To do this, Start > Settings > Accounts and select Sign-in options. After that, navigate to the Dynamic Lock section and check the box.
