iPhone is one of the best camera phones in the market. Aside from advanced camera-shooting features, iPhone’s camera includes the basic things you will find on any other smartphone out there. Like other camera phones, iPhone’s camera allows users to take HDR (High Definition Range) photos with much improved exposure.
Basically, HDR allows you to create more balanced exposures when you capture photos in high contrast scenes such as landscapes. What you’ve got with HDR mode enabled on your iPhone is a photo with more color and detail in both dark and bright elements. However, one of the most annoying things when it comes HDR mode on an iPhone is that it saves two copies of the image in your photo library, an enhanced HDR version and a regular photo.
This may put a lot of pressure on your storage, especially if you take many HDR photos on your iPhone. If your iPhone’s storage is shrinking, it is time you turned off HDR photo duplicates to save more space.
In this step-by-step guide, we will walk you through the steps to stop iPhone HDR from saving multiple photos on your iPhone
Step one: First off, you need to launch the Settings app from your home screen. After that, all you need to do is to scroll down a little bit and tap on Photos & Camera
Step two: Next up, you are now supposed to flip the Keep Normal Photo switch to OFF position. Once you are done, your iPhone will not save two versions when you capture your photos in HDR mode. If you change your mind, you simply need to turn on the switch under HDR section
