Here are top five Android apps of the week

There are tons of new apps that hit the Google Play Store every week, and it is very hard to catch up with all of them if you are not paying attention 24/7. In this post we will highlight the five best Android apps from last week. Here we go:

  1. Google Play updated its metadata rules

There are now millions of apps in the Google Play Store, but not all of them are user-friendly, as some publishers failed to follow the rules imposed by Google. The biggest search engine on Earth has updated its metadata rules page in order to make the apps more relevant and appropriate.

Accordingly, Google is asking developers to avoid nudity, violence, vulgar language, and drug use when publishing their apps. According to Google, the rules will be taken seriously, and any violations of these regulations will result in bans or apps being taken down.

  1. Elder Scrolls: Legends entered and left the Google Play Store on the same day

Elder Scrolls: Legends is now one of the most anticipated games in the world. Last week, the game was available in the Google Play Store, but it was removed on the same day. According to Bethesda, the upload was simply a mistake by the developers and the game is still under development.

Elder Scrolls: Legends is a card dueling game that takes place in the Elder Scrolls universe. The game has been available on PC for a while as a free beta.

  1. Google announced the winners its annual Material Design Awards

Material Design Awards is Google’s annual Award that honors best-in-class achievements in employing Material Design. This year’s winners cover five different categories and will be honored at the SPAN LA conference on October 27

  1. There will be Candy Crush TV Show

Candy Crush is one of the most played games in the Google Play Store. The game quickly hit 12 million downloads back in 2012 and it was installed 500 million times across Facebook, iOS and Android devices in 2013. According to sources, the famous game will have a TV Show and it will be broadcast by CBS.

The TV show will feature teams of two members using their wits and physical agility running around on enormous, interactive game boards to play the game. However, there is no word yet on when the TV Show will air.

  1. Google launched Google Pixel Launcher in the Google Play Store

This year, Google introduced its new launcher named Pixel Launcher, which is exclusive to the recently introduced Pixel phones along with Google Assistant. Pixel Launcher is now available in the Google Play Store, but it works only with the Pixel phone, and Google is not intent on releasing its new Launcher for other Android devices.
