If you now have an iPhone and a Windows PC, chances that you always want to transfer all your photos taken with your iPhone to your computer to make way for future photos. In reality, there are several ways you can use to quickly transfer your photos to your PC. In this guide, we will cover two methods to make that happen.
Before we begin, make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your Windows 10 PC. Besides, you need a USB cable to move the photos to Windows 10 PC from your iPhone. Assuming that you have met the above-mentioned requirements, let’s proceed with our step-by-step guide.
Using the Windows 10 Photos app may be the easiest and quickest way to transfer your photos from your iPhone to Windows 10 PC. Here is how you can do this:
Step one: First and foremost, you need to connect your iPhone to Windows 10 PC using a USB cable. Once you are done, head to the Start Menu in Windows and select the Photos app. If you don’t have the app there, you can look for it in the Search Bar
Step two: Once the app opens, all you need to do now is to click the Import button located in the top-right corner of the screen
Step three: Next up, you need to select the picture you wish to import to your Windows 10 PC. Once you are done, click on the Import button to start the process
Once you are done, you can browse them on the PC using the Photos app
Alternatively, you can use Windows Explorer to manually import your photos from iPhone. Here is how you can do this.
Step one: First off, you need open Windows Explorer on your Windows 10 PC and navigate to “This PC”
Step two: Once you are done, select your iPhone on the left side and open the Internal Storage directory. After that, you simply need to open DCIM to access your photos
Step three: Select all folders and files you wish to move over to your PC, right-click and select Copy from the drop-down menu
Step four: Once you are done, use the Paste command to move your photos. You can move your photos to folders like Pictures or Documents on your Windows 10 PC.
