Long gone are the days when you used your phones to simply answer a call, send a message or surf internet. We are now entering the era of smartphones where everything is possible. In this case, you now can use your smartphone to control PC. Cool, isn’t it? With some simple steps, you can complete any of task on your PC by simply sitting at your place.


In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to control your PC using Android device. Before we begin, make sure that you have downloaded and installed Chrome Remote Desktop app that allows you to access everything on your computer using your smartphone or tablet.

Steps to control your PC using Android device

Step one: Once you have installed Chrome Remote Desktop app on your smartphone, you now need to open the app.

Step two: Once you are in, you will see the label above My Computers and your Google account below. All you have to do now is to log into your Google account on your smartphone

Step three: Open Google Chrome on your PC and install the extension called Chrome Remote Desktop and the app will automatically be added to your web browser.

Step four: Next up, all you have to do now is to head to extensions menu on your Google Chrome. Once you are in, look for Chrome Remote Desktop icon and click on it. Now the app will start installing on your PC. Once the installation process is complete, click on get started

Step five: You are now supposed to set a pin for Remote Computer share. Once you are done, click enable remote connections. After that, open the app on your smartphone and you will see your PC on the list.

Step six: All you have to do now is to click on your PC and enter your PIN. Once you are done, you will access your computer screen on your smartphone

Step seven: That’s it! You now can access everything on your PC using your touchscreen smartphone.

That’s all you need to do is to control your PC using Android device. In this way, you can easily access your PC anywhere as long as you are connected to internet. Make sure that you are now using Google account on both devices.

    Yeah, chrome remote desktop is good. However, recently I discovered another very good alternative: R-HUB remote support servers. It works on both MAC and Windows and is only one time cost as compared to hosted services.
