How to enter Recovery Mode on your Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra

Back in May, Asus officially announced its highly-anticipated smartphone, Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra with a lot of improvements in design and specs, but all at a mid-range price.

If you have been using an Android phone for a long time, you have probably heard of Recovery Mode. Basically, Recovery Mode is hidden inside your Android phone, which means that you cannot activate it from the Settings app. Once you are in the Recovery Mode, you can do a lot of things on your Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra ranging from flashing OTA updates, clearing cache to fixing problems.

How to enter Recovery Mode on your Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra

Method 1:

Step one: First and foremost, power off your device. After that, press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons at the same time until your phone vibrates and release the Power button

Step two: You will see a menu where you select the Recovery option. When you see the Android logo on the screen, all you have to do is to press and hold the Power button to proceed.

Step three: Press the Volume up button once while you continue to press the Home button.

Step four: That’s it! You now enter the Recovery Mode on your Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra.

Method 2:

There is another way you can use to enter your Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra into Recovery Mode. However, make sure that you have a computer before moving ahead.

Step one: Install Android SDK toolkit and your phone’s usb drivers on your computer

Step two: Enable the USB Debugging from your phone’s Developer Options menu. If you cannot find the Developer Options menu, head to Settings > About Device and tap seven times on the Build Number section and Developer Options will appear in the Settings page.

Step three: Power on your phone. Once done, connect your phone with your computer via USB cable

Step four: Head to Android SDK folder on your computer, launch a command-prompt and enter the following command line: adb reboot revovery

Step five: Once you are done, your phone will enter the Recovery Mode and you are now free to use the Recovery Mode menu.
