How to Get a Refund for iTunes & App Store

If you have a problem with apps you purchased and you have a valid reason to get money back, Apple offers iTunes and App Store refunds. Although it’s instant, you will get a refund for all purchases made from iTunes and App Store in the last 90 days.

Apple needs a reasonable reason to offer an app refund, so after watching a movie, for example, you don’t feel it’s interesting and then ask for a refund, you will never be successful. If an iTunes movie does not work or there are other issues, you can easily have good success. If you constantly ask for a refund, you should not get surprised if you stop getting it.

How to Get a Refund From Your iPhone or iPad

You can easily send a request for a refund your iPhone/iPad to Apple in a few minutes. It’s the easiest way to find the correct link, and it’s also easy for you to remember how to do it in the long run.

  1. Launch Mail, or the Mail app and use the email that you are linking to your iPhone account.
  2. Look for “Your receipt from Apple“, which included many results.
  3. Tap on the email to see the receipt, which includes items for asking a refund.
  4. If you see too many options, you can search for a specific app name or the movie name.
  5. In the email, tap the Report a Problem
  6. Log in and do a report on the web.

How to Get an iTunes or App Refund Online

You can also ask an iTunes refund from Apple using the web, without the need of opening iTunes. You should also remember your Apple ID and password.

  1. Visit any browser.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  3. Click on right section at the top of the screen, relating to your refund.
  4. Note the purchase and then select Report a Problem
  5. Click on the right reason for the iTunes refund.
  6. Type in a description of the problem.
  7. Submit to Apple the problem.

How to Get a Refund in iTunes

You can also launch iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC to get a refund for music, movies, or even in-app purchases.

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer
  2. Click on iTunes Store and select Account and enter your password.
  3. Select See Allin the Purchase History
  4. Look for the purchase you want to ask for a refund
  5. Click on More to the right.
  6. Select Report a Problem.
  7. You will then be redirected to the Apple website to explain the issue and submit for a refund.

Although Apple does not grant all refund requests, the company is sympathetic to problems with downloads and rentals preventing you from watching or listening to. A refund will need a few days to process and then display on your credit card or debit card.
