HTC One M9

HTC One M9

The new flagship device of HTC, the One M9 has been announced  at Mobile World Congress 2015. The new flagship phone is heading toward becoming the Best smartphone for 2015.

HTC One M9 is available for Pre-order now in Europe and Taiwan, and in the US will launch April 10 varying by carrier

The new HTC One M9, carries the same design language as its predecessor the HTC One M8, with its all aluminium unibody design. The HTC One M9 features a 5-inch 1080p display, and its dimensions are  144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61mm , making it a little shorter and a bit thicker than the One M8.  We can say that the added thickness contributes to better ergonomics and a battery boost from 2600 mAh the M8 to 2840 mAh the M9.

Camera & Battery

The new HTC One M9 ditched the dual camera that the M8 had and now it features an all-new 20MP sensor with dual-LED (dual tone) flash and can now shoot Ultra HD 4K, 2160p@30fps, videos.

The new 2840 mAh battery is one of the biggest HTC has ever added into a phone and together with the lower power screen , will keep the phone up more than just a day (hopefully)

Hardware & Software

HTC One M9 have 3GB of RAM and an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, with four cores running at 2.0GHz and the other four at 1.5GHz allowing it to switch between them depending on what is processing, in order to save energy and keep the phone up for longer.

HTC One M9 is running Android Lollipop 5.0 with HTC’s own Sense 7.0 UI interface over the top that now has new features such as customisable contextual widgets that change depending on your location.

HTC One M9 Rivals

Samsung Galaxy S6 & Galaxy S6 edge with their new aluminium unibody design are big rivals to the new One M9. Then there’s also the likes of the LG G3 and the Sony Xperia Z3.

Last but not least the iPhone 6 with is premium design and high-end materials is already the leader of the smartphone market. Will the HTC One M9 manage to surpass it? We don’t think so but only time will tell.
