iOS 10: Most common issues and how to fix them (Part 2)

In the previous part, we mentioned 5 most common iOS 10 issues and how to fix them. In this part II, we have compiled a list of the other five common iOS issues and step-by-step instructions to fix them. Here we go

  1. Bluetooth not working properly in iOS 10

Bluetooth issues have occurred in past iOS releases. In iOS 10, many users have reported that Bluetooth fails to connect with other iOS devices. If you are experiencing the issue, we have a handy fix for you


Step one: First and foremost, launch the Settings app and tap on General to proceed

Step two: While you are in, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Reset

Step three: Select Reset Network Settings and enter your device’s passcode when prompted.

Step four: Once you are done, tap on Reset Network Settings  to confirm.

Note that resetting your network’s settings means that all your network settings will be back to the factory defaults, which may fix your issue.

  1. iMessage effects fail to work

iOS 10 is making it much easier and more fun to communicate with your friends using iMessage. However, we have heard stories that many iOS users cannot send effects in iMessage or view ones sent by their friends.

Luckily, we have some solutions for you to get away from the issue. Make sure that you read on to find down how to fix iMessage effect not working properly.

  • Turn off Reduce Motion

Reduce Motion is the common culprit, as it prevents iMessage effects from working properly when updating to iOS 10, so the best shot for fixing the issue is to disable it. Here is how you do it:

Step one: The first thing you need to do is to open the Settings app and tap on General

Step two: Scroll down and choose Accessibility. Once you are in, choose Reduce Motion


Step three: Turn it off.

  • Turn off iMessage and turn it back on


If you are still experiencing the issue, you can try disabling iMessage. To do this, you can head to Settings app. After that, scroll down to iMessage and tap on it. Finally, turn off iMessage and turn it back on.

  • Make sure that iMessage is delivered from your phone number

Step one: Head to Messages in Settings and open Send & Receive

Step two: Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the “start new conversations from”. All you have to do now is to select correctly your phone number.

  1. Apps crashing when updating to iOS 10

Nothing is worse than the fact that your most used apps start crashing on your device. We have received a number of reports claiming that their installed apps start crashing after launching. To fix this, you can try the solutions below

  • Ensure that you have installed the latest versions of the apps. You can go to the App Store and open the Updates tab
  • Try re-installing the apps. To do this, tap an hold on the app until it jiggles. Tap the “x” button  and select “ Delete” .
  1. Problems with Wi-Fi Connectivity


Have you found yourself in a situation where Wi-Fi fails to connect to a nearby network or suddenly disconnects when you are trying to load a webpage? If you have, believe us that you are not the only one facing the issue. To fix this, you can try the steps below:

Step one: Go to Settings and tap on General

Step two: Select Reset and tap on Reset Network Settings

Step three: Enter your device’s passcode when asked

Step four: Tap on Reset Network Settings to confirm

  1. Touch ID not working in the App Store

Many iOS users have reported that they cannot use Touch ID to authenticate purchases  in the App Store. To fix the issue, you can use the steps below:

Step one: Launch the Settings app and navigate to Touch ID & Passcode. Once you are done, you will be asked to enter your passcode.

Step two: Toggle off the switch for iTunes & App Store

Step three: Next up, reboot your device and turn it back on.

Step four: Turn on the Switch for iTunes & App Store

If you attempt to purchase something from the App Store, you will be required to use Touch ID rather than entering your Apple ID passcode.
