iPhone 6s Plus has a smaller battery

We already know that the iPhone 6s has a smaller battery that its predecessor the 6, and now we have some bad news for the iPhone 6s Plus fans. According AppleClub Apple’s new phablet device has a smaller battery too.

The website shows a 2750mAh battery, which is much smaller than the 2915mAh battery in the current iPhone 6 Plus. Similar to the iPhone 6s, the components required for the 3D Touch functionality take all the extra place previously used for the battery.

According to some Apple executives this doesn’t necessarily mean worse battery life. The new iOS 9 was built to provide an extra hour of battery life, according to the company. Additionally, the new A9 processor is more efficient than last year’s A8 chip. This will be enough for the 6s Plus to keep up even longer than its predecessor.

We don’t have to wait long until we get our hands on the new devices and test them this Friday.
