Apple iPhone has quickly become the most wanted smartphone each and every year since the original iPhone made its debut back in 2007. Thousands of people are willing to line up outside the Apple Store to be among the first markets to get new iPhone on launch day. This year, Apple introduced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with some surprisingly daring changes.

Apple iPhone is getting more and more predictable each year, but Apple managed to surprise everyone this year with water resistance or lack of a headphone jack. For many of us who have been expecting a radical shape change, we have to say that the new iPhone 7 won’t offer that upgrade.

However, like it or not, the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus could make a gigantic hit this year, and queues at Apple Store will get longer on September 16. In this post, we will give you our hands-on review of the new iPhone 7. Here we go:

1. Design

The iPhone 7 is not something new in terms of exterior design, as the new device shares the same size as its last year’s model in every dimension. The new iPhone 7 offers the same handling experience as the iPhone 6s did last year, and it is hard to tell the difference between phones from 2015 and 2016.

However, there are some daring changes, and the biggest one is the removal of the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. There are many reasons why Apple has done this and the most popular one is that the loss of the headphone jack comes with a thinner iPhone, however, this reason seems to be somewhat untrue, as the iPhone 7 is 7.1mm thick, similar to the iPhone 6s.

Another key change is that the antennas have been moved to the top and bottom edges, making them more invisible. The home button is no longer physical, as it is now pressure sensitive and features Apple’s taptic engine.

2. Performance and battery life

The new iPhone 7 will be powered by Apple’s new A10 Fusion chipset. The new chip offers 40 percent faster processing speeds compared to the A9 chip found in the last year’s model. Apple has never mentioned the RAM specs for its new iPhone, but the iPhone 7 is expected to come with 2GB of RAM.

With the new iPhone 7, battery life has been much improved. According to Apple, the iPhone 7 offers the longest battery life ever, as it can last up to two hours longer than the iPhone 6 and an hour longer than the 2015’s iPhone 6s.

3. Camera

Apple has added new enhancements to the iPhone 7’s camera. The 12MP shooter is still here, but it is now faster and more energy efficient than the one found in the iPhone 6s. Optical Image Stabilization is now here, offering excellent photos even if your hands are jerky.

The iPhone 7’s camera includes the ability to record video in 4K quality and a quad LED flash. Besides, the front-facing camera has been boosted, as it is now 7MP, along with some of the light-enhancing smarts for selfies.

4. Price

The new iPhone 7 will be released to the public on  September 16. The new handset starts at 649 USD, more expensive than the iPhone 6s when it went on sale last September. Pre-orders for the new device is now open with delivery expected to hit this Friday when it goes on sale.

The new iPhone 7 might not come with revolutionary changes, but the new handset is really something all Apple fans don’t want to miss at all.
