iPhone 8 and what we know so far

We are now more than six months from the iPhone 8 unveiling. However, there have been a lot of rumors floating around about Apple’s next iPhone ranging from new design, impressive features to powerful specs. Apple is expected to launch its new iPhone models with revolutionary features to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the original iPhone. In this post, we will run you through several iPhone 8 features we believe that the new phone is going to ship with.

  1. A 10-nanometer A11 chip

New iPhone always comes with new A-series chip, offering much improved performance over the predecessors and it appears that Apple will make no exception this year. Accordingly, the new A11 chip will be manufactured on TSMC’s 10nm fabrication process. Tech experts say that Apple will stick with its Fusion four-core design found in the A10 chip Apple debuted last year. However, chances that Apple will boost clock speed to make it even faster and more power efficient.

  1. New design

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may not impress a large number of iOS users who were expecting a redesigned iPhone prior to the release, so Apple is highly expected to debut the iPhone 8 with all-new design. According to sources, the iPhone 8 will come with an all-new glass design which was found in the iPhone 4. Ming-Chi-Kuo, the best known for giving his accurate forecasts when it comes to Apple products, says that the glass will be built around an aluminum or stainless steel frame. Besides, the new iPhone 8 is expected to come with bigger screen, no physical button with Touch ID and the camera being built directly into the display.

The lack of a new design has made iOS users excited about Apple’s upcoming iPhone thanks to its possible overhauled design. If you are one of them, all you have to do now is to wait until September when Apple releases the new iPhone.

  1. Long-range wireless charging

The new design on the iPhone 8 allows Apple to integrate new features and functionality into its device. According to reports, the iPhone 8 will have wireless charging. Rumors say that Apple has asked its supplier for manufacturing wireless charging chips for its next iPhone models. Besides, the long-range wireless charging is expected to hit all the three iPhone models Apple is planning to launch in September.

  1. OLED displays

Apple has long been rumored to switch to OLED displays this year thanks to their power efficiency and higher level of brightness. Rumors say that the premium iPhone 8 will sport an OLED panel that will be curved on both its edges similar to what we have already seen on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

The iPhone 8 is undoubtedly the most anticipated smartphones in the market this year. If the new device is going to ship with the above-mentioned features, the iPhone 8 is really worth every penny
