LG is coming back following disappointing business results in 2015. Earlier this year, the South Korean Company announced its highly-anticipated smartphone, LG G5. The new device has been met with a lot of positive reviews from fans and experts, and it earns the tag of being the most innovative smartphone that we have ever seen in recent years.
Back in September 2016, LG launched its new smartphone, LG V20 that contains design elements of LG G5 and an impressive specs sheet. However, the large 5.7-inch 1440p IPS LCD display of the phone is not for everyone. LG is probably aware of that, and the company has just introduced a smaller version of the LG V20 dubbed the LG V34 isai Beat.
The LG V34 isai Beat retains almost all the hardware that is found on the LG V20, but its comes with a slightly smaller and more manageable 5.2-inch display with resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Apart from that, the new device is not very different, as it continues to maintain an always-on display and a dual camera system on the back.
The LG V34 sports the same design elements that are now present on the LG V20 including a curved design and metal build. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of integrated storage. Although the LG V34 sports smaller 5.2 inch display, it is equipped with the same large 3.000 mAh battery. Speaking of cameras, the new device comes with a 16 MP rear camera with OIS and a 5MP front-facing camera and it runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The LG V34 supports LTE, VoLTE and WiMAX 2+, and the device will be available in Japan only, which is a little disappointing. Besides, it will come in titanium and gold colors.
The new device includes its own stuff to attract users this year and challenge other top-tiers smartphones like HTC 10 or Apple iPhone 7 in Japan. The biggest difference between the V20 and V34 is that the LG V34 has IP67-certified dust and water resistance, an upgrade to what we have already seen in the V20. This means that the device will survive after being submerged for 30 minutes.
According to LG, the LG V34 will be available in mid-November and the new handset is exclusive to the Japanese market. However, LG has not specified the pricing of the device.
LG V34 is a great device if you are one of those who wishes to get a smaller version of the V20, with a smaller display, impressive specs sheet and waterproofing feature, and you live in Japan, the LG V34 isai Beat is something that you really don’t want to miss at all.
