Lumia 950 and 950 XL to have iris scanners

Microsoft is expected to debut the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL tomorrow. A new rumor surfaced suggesting that the device will feature iris scanners that allow you to unlock your device simply by looking at it.

This will be the first flagship lineup launched by Microsoft after the software giant acquired Nokia’s handset business last year. Both the 950 and 950 XL are expected to have premium designs and high-end specifications, including 20-megapixel rear shooter, Quad HD displays, and 32GB of  expandable storage as standard.

According to @Windows10Lover the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will also feature iris scanners, which will allow owners to unlock their device simply by looking at it. The leaked picture, that you can see underneath, shows a secondary sensor next the front-facing camera on a Lumia 950.

Microsoft already launched facial recognition to Windows 10 with Windows Hello. The Windows Hello system allows users to login without the use of passwords, you just have to look into their PC’s camera.

Microsoft’s special event will begin at 10 a.m. EDT on Tuesday. Stay tuned for all the latest rumors and news on the upcoming event.
