Meet the Surface Book

Meet the Surface Book

It all started with:

“What if you wanted a Surface… But you wanted a laptop Surface, something with a bigger screen, something with the perfect typing experience of a laptop,”

“We made the ultimate laptop; we made Surface Book.”

Microsoft’s Panos Panay said on at its Windows 10 devices event.

Meet the Surface Book, Microsoft’s first in-house laptop with a 6th generation Intel Core processor, 16GB GDDR5 RAM, a 12-hour battery life and a 227 DPI 13.5-inch display. The company is referring to it as the “ultimate laptop” but to be more realistic is a really impressive detachable tablet!

The Surface Book is still a Surface but it comes with a very fancy keyboard.  This is not your conventional Surface keyboard cover, the new keyboard cover houses a discreet NVIDIA GTX GPU and other components that, according to Microsoft, make it ‘twice as fast as the MacBook Pro’.

It is the most surprising device Microsoft has put out in a while. The Surface Book comes with an all new design, ‘unique’ hinge and a lot of versatility.

Pre-orders for the Surface Book start tomorrow, and the laptop will be available at the stores starting  October 26th. Now lets talk prices! The starting price is $1,499 ( about £985)  and with that you get 128GB storage, 8GB of RAM, Core i5 processor and Intel HD graphics configuration. For $2,699.00 (about £1775)  you can get 512GB storage, 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GPU.
