Microsoft announced All-in-One PC, Surface Studio

All-in-One PCs are always something that we are really looking for, as they come with everything we need to get to work. They are space-saving, powerful and very easy to set up. When you intend to purchase an All-in-One PC, you immediately think of Apple’s iMac line of computers, which come with stunning displays, powerful processing and stellar performance.

However, if you are really planning to get a new All-in-One PC, there is another great nomination. Microsoft today announced its highly-anticipated All-in-One PC, the Surface Studio at its October Windows 10 event. The new PC is aimed for design and creative professionals, and is ready to take on Apple’s iMac this year.


The new all-in-on PC combines incredibly the premium metal body design with powerful hardware, offering stellar Windows 10 performance. The new Surface Studio offers a 12.5mm thick screen, making it one of the thinnest PCs ever made in history. Users can easily turn the Surface Studio into a drafting table and lean on it with their arms.

The All-in-One PC, Surface Studio sports a stunning 28-inch PixelSense display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 4.500 x 3.000, promising to be 63 percent higher than 4K. As for internals, the All-in-One PC offers different configurations. The i5 configuration comes with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M, while the i7 versions offers two options GPU options including  a GTX 965M and a GTX 980M. The top configuration, which is priced at 4.199 USD, is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M graphics and 32GB of RAM.

Besides, there is a 2.1 speaker system, Xbox wireless controller support, and a mic array for Skype. The Surface Studio also includes four USB 3.0 ports, an SD card, ethernet and a headphone jack.

One of the most noticeable features of the new All-in-One PC lies in the new Surface Dial which costs 99 USD, promising to give designers a new way of creativity. Users can place the Surface Dial on the screen and turn it into an artist’s palette that contains different colors or brush options to pick from. According to Microsoft, Surface Dial will be available in limited quantities at the end of the year. In case of battery life, the new Surface Studio offers up to 16 hours of battery life.

The new All-in-One PC, Surface Studio is now available for pre-order in the US, with availability in November. The new device starts at 2.999 USD for the sixth-gen Core i5, 8GB of RAM and 2GB GPU.
