Rémy Martin to launch NFC enabled bottle in China

Rémy Martin is about to launch the very first bottle connected through high-security NFC technology.

The Rémy Martin CLUB Connected Bottle will be available in China this Fall and will provide advanced functionalities such as secure authentication, opening detection and an integrated game & rewards program.

A the company stated, the Bottles will offer the most highly secure opening detection technology; integrating a unique, tamperproof NFC tag into the capsule.  Rémy Martin claims that this offers 100% secure authentication of the genuine provenance of the bottle, and the ability to detect a previously opened one. A dedicated smartphone application, Centaur Connect, will allow immediate interaction with the any NFC enabled bottle.

By simply tapping the top of the bottle, the Centaur Connect application will instantly show if the bottle is genuine and sealed, or if it has been resealed. Once the bottle is opened, the NFC integrated tag antenna breaks and it emits a different signal, indicating the change from “sealed” to “opened”. The Rémy Martin CLUB Connected Bottle will initially be available at some of China’s most exciting nightclubs. This experience powered by Rémy Martin is accessible on Android smartphones, in partnership with Selinko and InsideSecure.
