Twitter lifts Direct Message 140 character limit

Twitter has lifted the 140 character limit for its Direct Messages. The limit has already been lifted in the Android, iOS, Mac apps Twitter.com and also Tweetdeck. In January Twitter introduced group chat support to its Direct Messaging service. The company is expanding Direct Message features in order to compete with Facebook’s Messenger, WhatsApp and Hangouts.

The new limit of 10,000 characters gives you the ability to express yourself and pretty much allows you to write as much as you want!
